Yanni Lün
About the artist
Born in the Ural region into an intellectual family, Yanni Lün grew up surrounded by silence, observation, and introspection — qualities that shaped her sensitivity to subtle states of perception. Trained in fine art from an early age, she later worked in media and publishing, where she explored form, structure, and visual storytelling — elements that would become central to her artistic method.
From her youth, she was drawn to club culture and ritual expression, creating performances in Ibiza and Mexico that combined physical and sensory experience. Influenced by Eastern philosophies, the writings of Castaneda and Leary, and the novels of Viktor Pelevin, she developed a fascination with the illusory nature of the world and the quest for awakening through art.
Since 2022, her focus has shifted toward personal artistic practice that merges painting, performance, sound, and installation. At its core lies Aurava —
a visual myth and language of perception in which reality is fluid and paradoxical. In 2024–2025 she completed a professional program in Contemporary Art under the supervision of Maria Hiltunen, strengthening her research-based and performative approach.
Her performances Art Never Stands Still (Art Basel Hong Kong, 2025) and Jungle Drop (Ural Music Night, 2025) became key manifestations of the Aurava Universe, where the boundary between art and reality dissolves, inviting the viewer into an altered state of perception.
